“Today we all stand together in saying no to the NYC Department of Educations proposal to add an alternative suspension site to P.S. 128. This is not the appropriate site for this program and it will not benefit either youth.” Said Council Member Miguel Martinez – Rep for City Council District 10.

“We, the parent of Public School 128 located at 560 West 169 St., in Washington Heights object to the recent decision and notification that an alternative middle school suspension site will be moving into our former mini school building across from our elementary school Pre- K to 5.” Said Parent Association of P.S. 128.

The community and local leaders are concerned with the fact that that there are already five other middle school facilities that are in close proximity to elementary school P.S. 128. Other elected officials present against this proposal were Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, Education Committee Chair Council Member Robert Jackson & Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat.
